ABOUT

EDUCATION

As a recent graduate in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising, I have acquired a great understanding of the interworkings of the current fashion industry and where I would fit in best. Being a part of the college's Student Fashion Association has also contributed greatly to excelling in the program. Many aspects of both my college and work experiences have shaped my understanding of the fashion industry.

Personal Strengths

Throughout my work with both ATM and Business students, I find that every project and assignment feels like an enjoyable challenge rather than bothersome. Even when time is against me, I will always go the extra step to produce quality work.  I feel that a number of my personal strengths support my passion for fashion, these include being very focused, having strong verbal communication skills, working as a collaborative team member who encourages cooperation, and especially having a creative mindset. Overall, I am confident that my abilities correspond with my field of study and that I provide an effective work environment for myself and everyone around me.

Technical Knowledge

Over the past six years, I have sharpened my experiences with both Adobe and Microsoft software products. My first accomplishment with these softwares was in 2018 when I used Adobe Photoshop to produce the winning poster design for my local town's farmers market. Through my enrollment at CWU, I have also created many mood boards, visuals, textiles, floor plans, line sheets, etc. with Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Lightroom, and Photoshop. I also have experience creating Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, as well as Statements of Stockholder Equity on Excel through the CWUs Accounting program. I have also used Excel to track financial data and mock purchase orders for future apparel seasons both in class and on the job site.
